Parks and open spaces

Halton has over 865 hectares of publicly owned park and open space, so the countryside really is on your doorstep.

Our green open spaces are managed to meet the needs of the community and are a great place to relax and get some exercise.

Our green assets include parks, playgrounds, woodlands, Local Nature Reserves (LNRs), Promenades and public gardens.

Twelve of Halton’s parks and Local Nature Reserves have achieved the coveted Green Flag Award. This national standard for parks and green spaces is a key component of the Government’s commitment to create cleaner, safer and greener communities.
