Halton Borough Council has published its third statutory Local Transport Plan (LTP3).

This contains the transport strategy and policies from 2011 to 2026 and the proposed schemes and implementation timetable for the next 3 years.

Previous Local Transport Plans (LTP's) 

The first Local Transport Plan (LTP1) was published in July 2000 and covers the period 2001/02 to 2005/06

The second Local Transport Plan (LTP2) covers the period 2006/07 to 2010/11.

Local Sustainable Transport Fund

In January 2011 the Department of Transport released guidance on the Local Sustainable Transport Fund (LSTF), which is a funding stream of £560m to be spent over 4 years.

The aim of the LSTF is to support economic and cut carbon which are the two main aims of current government transport policy.
