Halton Borough Council will be carrying out infrastructure improvements at Widnes, Runcorn, and Halton Cemeteries over the next three years. These works aim to preserve the heritage of these sites while enhancing their value as peaceful, reflective green spaces.
Planned upgrades include improvements to pathways, roads, drainage, and landscaping to better serve the community and ensure long-term sustainability. In partnership with ecologists, we will also introduce natural features to support biodiversity and create a more welcoming environment for visitors.
Our goal is to protect the integrity of these cemeteries and provide serene spaces for remembrance for future generations. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this period of improvement.
