Care Quality Commission (CQC)

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) is the independent regulator of health and social care in England. Halton Borough Council Adult Social Care services are regulated by the CQC with the aim of understanding how Halton Borough Council, as a provider of adult social care services, is:

  • Improving outcomes for people
  • Working together with partners to deliver integrated health and social care services
  • Gathering peoples’ experiences in the health and care system and using them to make improvements
  • Reducing health inequalities

To help people choose services that are right for them, CQC’s provide ratings for regulated services based on a number of factors. For services provided by Halton Borough Council the rating, and associated report, can be found on each of the Council’s service webpages:

The CQC rating, and report, for any regulated service delivered in Halton by other providers can be found by visiting the CQC website
