Members allowance
Allowances paid to Halton's Councillors under the Members' Compensation Scheme are set by an Independent Remuneration Panel. The panel is made up of three people, none of whom are members of the Council. Increases to these allowances are indexed to the national pay awards for Local Government Officers.
Under the provisions of the above Regulations and a resolution of the Council's Standards Committee details of the amounts paid to Members under the Council's Member Compensation Scheme, including Travel and Subsistence payments.
