The latest Hearings Timetable (V3) for the Part 1 hearing sessions was published on 24.02.21

On the basis of the Local Plan Examination to date and the evidence presented, the Council has produced a schedule of Proposed Main Modifications to be made to the Delivery and Allocations Local Plan Submission Version. The proposed Main Modifications are those that the Inspectors examining the Local Plan have identified as necessary in order for the Local Plan to be found ‘sound’. These are provided without prejudice to the Inspectors’ final conclusions, which will be provided in their Report in due course.
Halton Council is now consulting on the Proposed Main Modifications to the Halton Delivery and Allocations Local Plan 2014 – 2037.
The consultation started on Thursday 9th December 2021 and closed at noon on Friday 21st January 2022.
Adoption of the Delivery and Allocations Local Plan
The Delivery and Allocations Local Plan was adopted by Council on 2nd March 2022.
The Delivery and Allocations Local Plan sets out the long-term spatial vision, strategic priorities and policies for future development in the borough to 2037, including the quantity and location of new homes, employment provision, shops, facilities and other services, transport and other infrastructure provision, climate change mitigation and adaption and the conservation and enhancement of the natural and historic environment.
The Delivery and Allocations Local Plan comprises the Written Statement and accompanying Policies Map. The Written Statement incorporates the remaining policies from the Core Strategy Local Plan (2013).
