Pension Credit
Do you know someone of State Pension Age (66+) on a low income who would welcome extra money and support with heating costs, including the Winter Fuel Payment*? This could be your (customers, service users, a parent, grandparent, friend or neighbour). Please edit this list as needed
It is estimated that up to 880,000 households are missing out on Pension Credit, and it is worth, on average, £3,900 per year, providing additional benefits such as help with Council Tax and Housing Benefit, free TV licence for those over 75 and the Winter Fuel Payment.
Thanks to the Pension Credit backdating rules, it is possible to apply for Pension Credit and have the claim backdated by up to 3 months - so long as there is entitlement during that time. This means that the latest date to apply and still qualify for a Winter Fuel Payment is 21st December 2024.

Healthy Start - New parents can get over £400 a year to help with their food shop
Healthy Start
National scheme that gives parents money to buy infant formula, milk and fruit and vegetables. Nearly 30% of those eligible for this cash boost are currently not signed up. Please use the link below to check your eligibility and fill in the short application.

- £4.25 each week of your pregnancy from the 10th week
- £8.50 each week for children from birth to 1 year old

Water Social Tariffs - United Utilities have a Trust Fund and a social tariff for those in need

Broadband Social Tariffs - All major providers offer cheaper tariffs to those on certain benefits
If you receive certain benefits you will be eligible for a cheaper broadband tariff, although up to 90% of those eligible aren’t making the saving. All the major providers offer these tariffs including BT, TalkTalk, Virgin Media, Sky and many more.
